Anna Jerratsch is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, with a primary focus on the History of Astronomy, the Popularization of Knowledge, and the interplay between Science and Religion in early modern Europe. She has been an external member of the Comenius-Garden Berlin's 'Werkstatt des Wissens' since 2010 and contributed to history of science exhibitions in Berlin.
- Education: Studied History of Science, Modern History, and Sociology in Berlin and Warwick.
- Research Focus: Cometary pamphlets, astral knowledge visualization, and religious contexts in early modern cosmology.
- Projects: Led the working group 'Visualization and Material Cultures of the Heavens in Eurasia and North Africa (4000 BCE–1700 CE)' (2021–2023) and currently contributes to the ERC project 'Early Modern Cosmology' at the University of Venice Ca' Foscari.
- Publications: Authored a monograph on cometary discourse (2020) and co-authored studies on Renaissance astronomy and cosmology.
