Anna Hoberg is a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory, affiliated with the Stefan Vogenauer Department. She focuses on the legal history of the European Union, international civil procedural law, European law, and private international law, with a specific project on the unification of international civil procedure law in the European Union.
Anna's research examines the emergence of the European Union's unified international civil procedural law, particularly the origins of the Brussels Ia Regulation in the 1968 Brussels Convention. Her work combines archival research, biographical analysis, and comparative legal studies to trace negotiations among EEC founding states.
