Anna Hermansen is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences (HMV) at Linköping University. She serves as a lecturer and researcher within the Physiotherapy Unit (FYS) under the Division of Prevention, Rehabilitation and Community Medicine (PRNV). Her research focuses on neck pain, dizziness, and rehabilitation strategies, including internet-based interventions and postoperative approaches.

Anna’s research explores neck-specific exercises for chronic pain and dizziness, surgical outcomes for cervical conditions, and reinjury prevention in athletes. Her recent publications highlight qualitative studies, randomized controlled trials, and longitudinal analyses in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Her work spans neck pain, musculoskeletal disorders, postoperative rehabilitation, and whiplash-associated disorders, with collaborations across interdisciplinary teams in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and clinical medicine.
Anna supervises doctoral students and teaches at basic and advanced levels, including examiner roles for Fysioterapeutprogrammet (Physiotherapy Program) Term 3.
