Anna Hannula is a Senior Lecturer in Management and Organization at Tampere University's Faculty of Management and Business. She also serves as Academic Director of the MDP in Responsible Business and holds an Adjunct Professor title at the University of Eastern Finland in Business Ethics and Sustainability. Her research focuses on corporate sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and business ethics, with affiliations to the RESPMAN Research Group and projects like Business to Nature (B2N) and Circular Economy Catalysts (CICAT2025).
Education: D.Sc. in Management and Organization (University of Tampere, 2014), with postdoctoral and visiting research experiences at institutions such as the University of Virginia and Aarhus School of Business.
Research interests include CSR, urban nature, biodiversity, and critical business ethics. She has received the 2024 R. Edward Freeman Journal of Business Ethics Best Paper Award. Her work bridges theoretical and practical aspects of sustainability transitions, emphasizing stakeholder engagement in environmental governance.
Notable contributions include co-editing Stakeholder Engagement in a Sustainable Circular Economy (Springer, 2023) and contributing to projects addressing food waste and circular economy models.
