معرفی
Anna Gregorio is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, University of Trieste, specializing in Astrophysics, Cosmology and Space Science. She serves on the Department's Board, multiple Boards of Studies, and has participated in Doctoral Studies Boards for Physics programs across numerous cycles (XXIX through XXXIX).
Her research focuses on fundamental astrophysical questions regarding the composition of the Universe, the effects of dark matter and energy on galaxy formation, and cosmic behavior of matter and space-time. Dr. Gregorio leads the EUCLID, the Dark Universe Mission research group, an ESA space mission investigating dark matter and dark energy that represents approximately 75% of the Universe's energy content.
Her technical expertise lies in Advanced Technology and Instrumentation for astrophysics, developing critical components including mirrors, cameras, spectrographs, and radiometers for both ground-based telescopes and astronomical satellites. This instrumentation enables data collection for analyzing astrophysical processes and testing theoretical models.
Dr. Gregorio currently leads the 'Spazio: ricerca tecnologica per lo sviluppo regionale industriale e scientifico' project (2024-2026) funded by FONDAZ.CASSA DI RISPARMIO GORIZIA, and participates in two additional research projects (2021-2025) related to space technology funded by PICOSATS S.R.L. She collaborates extensively with the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste (INAF) and other research institutions.
