Anna Gorchakovskaya is a Professor in the Department of Media and Communication at Temple University Rome. She teaches with American universities including Cornell in Rome, Trinity College Rome Campus, and John Cabot University since 2022. Her research focuses on visual activism and politically and socially engaged artistic practices, informed by her academic background in Art History and Gender Studies.

Her collaborative work spans institutions like the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, La Galleria Nazionale, and MAXXI. She co-founded the interdisciplinary platform On Site (2021), connecting international and Roman cultural scenes, and coordinates the European project Intersezioni at Refugees Welcome Rome. Her teaching includes the course CSI 2296: Resistance, Protest and Social Movements.
