Anna Gondek-Grodkiewicz

Anna Gondek-Grodkiewicz is a photographer and architect affiliated with SWPS University in Wrocław, Poland. She holds a lectureship in the Department of Graphic Arts within the Faculty of Law and Social Communication. Her academic contributions focus on contemporary photography, photojournalism, and visual storytelling, with a particular emphasis on exploring anthropological and psychological dimensions of global cultures. She is a 2017 Grand Press Photo award winner for her photojournalism work on Thai cultural practices involving 'divine children' dolls. Her research has been featured in prominent outlets like National Geographic Polska and Newsweek, and her exhibitions include solo shows like 'Being Strong, Healthy, Happy' (2020) and collaborative works such as 'Conscious-unconscious' (2021) in the 7th Mediations Biennale.
