Anna Faber

Anna Faber is a Lecturer and PhD candidate in the School of Molecular Sciences at The University of Western Australia (UWA), focusing on developing microbial solutions for marine plastic pollution. She holds a B.Sc. in Biology from Philipps University Marburg, Germany, and a Staatsexamen (M.Sc. equivalent) in education. Her research integrates synthetic biology, biochemistry, and microbial ecology, with a focus on eDNA, bioinformatics for plastic-degrading enzymes, and science communication.
