Anna Duxbury is an Honorary Clinical Tutor at the University of Lancaster's Faculty of Health and Medicine (FHM), Department of Health Research. She specializes in clinical psychology with a focus on mental health support for vulnerable populations, including refugees, asylum seekers, and school-aged children. Her work combines qualitative research methodologies with practical applications in healthcare and education sectors.
Research interests center on understanding therapeutic experiences of displaced populations and improving mental health awareness in educational settings. Her 2023 meta-synthesis study highlights systemic challenges faced by refugees accessing psychological care. Professional activities include consultancy for schools on children's mental health strategies and delivering CPD training to educational staff across Lancashire.
