Anna Ślifirczyk

Anna Ślifirczyk, MD, PhD, serves as Dean for the Warsaw Branch of Lublin WSEI Academy within the Faculty of Health Sciences. With over thirty years of academic experience, she teaches Emergency Medicine and Nursing while leading strategic initiatives for the Warsaw campus and maintaining active clinical research roles.

Her educational credentials include:

• Doctor of Medical Sciences (2012) specializing in Social Medicine with thesis: 'Quality of life of families of children with autism and burnout syndrome in parents'
• Specialist title in Emergency Nursing (2016)
• Trainer qualifications in health assessment and physical examinations (since 2001)

Professor Ślifirczyk's research centers on emergency nursing systems, multicultural patient care dynamics, and communication protocols in critical medical scenarios. Her work bridges clinical practice with educational innovation through EU-funded projects addressing stress management, aggressive patient intervention, and ergonomic patient handling techniques.

Her scientific recognition includes:

• Medal of the National Education Commission (2019)
• Consecutive Scientific Scholarships (2018, 2021)

As an academic advisor, she has co-supervised two doctoral theses while securing major research grants including 'Significance of iodine deficiency for thyroid hormone synthesis' (S/14/17) and the EU-funded 'We Bet on Integrated Development' project (POWR.03.05.00-00-Z009/18-00). Current grant activities focus on crisis management protocols through three 2019-2020 initiatives addressing aggressive patients, occupational stress, and spinal safety in patient handling.

She actively shapes nursing standards through leadership roles in the Polish Society of Hygiene, Polish Resuscitation Council, and as State Examination Board Chair for Emergency Nursing in Warsaw.
