Ann Quiroz Gates

Ann Quiroz Gates is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Currently serving as Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, she previously held roles as Director of the Cyber-ShARE Center of Excellence and Computer Science Department Chair. Her work focuses on software engineering and cyberinfrastructure to ensure high-consequence system reliability, while pioneering the Affinity Research Group (ARG) model for inclusive student engagement.
