Ann Marie Hibbert

Ann Marie Hibbert is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. Program Coordinator in the Department of Finance at West Virginia University's Chambers College of Business and Economics. She holds a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of the West Indies, followed by an MBA and Ph.D. in Finance from Florida International University. Her career at WVU began in 2008 as a tenure-track assistant professor of finance.

Dr. Hibbert's research focuses on behavioral finance, examining how cognitive biases and heuristics influence decision-making in individuals, households, and corporations. She teaches courses on corporate finance, securities analysis, portfolio management, and derivatives. Her work bridges theoretical finance with practical applications in investment strategies and market dynamics.

Her recent publications explore topics such as CEO international background in cross-border M&As, gender differences in risk tolerance, and the impact of social media on analyst behavior.
