معرفی
Ann-Maree Vallence is an Associate Professor at Murdoch University's School of Psychology, where she co-directs the Action and Cognition Research Group. Her research utilizes neurophysiological methods to investigate sensorimotor control, cortical plasticity, and age-related neural changes.
Research interests focus on:
- Age-related motor network changes
- Cortical plasticity mechanisms in learning and rehabilitation
- Neuroplasticity alterations in burn injury and stroke recovery
- Optimizing brain stimulation protocols
Her publications demonstrate strong emphasis on neuromodulation techniques (TMS, tACS, tDCS) applied to Parkinson's disease, autism spectrum disorder, and rehabilitation. Recent work explores combined stimulation protocols and personalized neurostimulation approaches.
Awards include:
- WA Young Tall Poppy Science Award (2018)
- Vice Chancellor's Excellence in Research Award (2016)
- European Brain and Behaviour Society Young Investigator Award (2014)
She leads projects funded by ARC and NHMRC, including an Ideas Grant (2021-2024) examining brain changes post-burn injury.
