Ann Howey is a Professor in the Department of English Language & Literature at Brock University. She holds a PhD from the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on Arthurian and speculative fiction, medievalism, neo-Victorianism, feminist fantasy, and young people’s literature. She has co-edited Neo-Victorianism and Medievalism: Re Appropriating the Victorian and Medieval Pasts (Brill, 2024) and authored Afterlives of the Lady of Shalott and Elaine of Astolat (2020), which won the Dhira B. Mahoney Prize in Arthurian Studies. Her work explores intersections between historical narratives, gender, and adaptation across media.
