Dr Ann Hill is a Senior Lecturer in Teacher and Community Education at the University of Canberra's Faculty of Education, serving as Deputy Program Director for Postgraduate Education. She leads the Centre for Sustainable Communities and co-leads the Future of Food in the Canberra region initiative. Her research focuses on sustainability education, community food systems, and climate resilience. Dr Hill holds a PhD from ANU, a BA Honours in Human Geography, and a Diploma of Education. She has conducted extensive research across Australia and Asia, particularly in the Philippines, focusing on community-driven development and food security. Her work bridges academia and practice through projects like the Global Garden Project and school gardening co-learning initiatives. Awards include a 4-year ANU scholarship and a Targeted Graduate Award for teaching.
