Ankush Sharma

Dr. Ankush Sharma serves as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. His academic journey includes a PhD from IIT Kanpur (2014), M.Tech from IIT Kanpur (2001), and B.Tech from HBTI Kanpur (1998). Prior to his academic career, he accumulated significant industry experience with Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro Technologies, and CMC Limited.

His educational background demonstrates exceptional academic performance with honors including the President's medal for being the topper of his branch in B.Tech, 18th Rank in U.P. state for intermediate examination, and 19th Rank in U.P. state for high school examination.

Dr. Sharma's research focuses on Power Systems and related technologies, with particular expertise in Smart Grid Technology, State Estimation, and IT Applications in Power Systems. His work extends to Smart City infrastructure, Multi-Agent Systems, Wide Area Monitoring & Control of Power Systems, Energy Markets, and Demand Response Management. His research integrates traditional power engineering with cutting-edge information technology and Internet of Things applications, creating innovative solutions for modern power infrastructure challenges.
