Anke Bekk

Dr. Anke Bekk is a Researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research since April 2015, working in the Department of Energy Technology and Energy Systems. She holds a PhD in Economics and Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, 2012), following studies in Industrial Engineering at Karlsruhe University and the Ecole de Commerce in Le Havre, France. Prior roles include positions at KIT's Institute for Industrial Production (2005–2011) and energy sector consultancy at MVV Energie AG (2011–2015). Her work focuses on digitalization of the energy sector, integration of renewables, sector coupling, and energy system modelling.

Recent work highlights issues like bidirectional charging systems, data-driven energy platforms, and fiscal policy alignment for climate goals.
