Anja Voss

Professor Anja Voss serves as both Professor of Movement Education/Therapy and Health Promotion and Vice President for Studies, Teaching and Digitalization at Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin (ASH Berlin) since February 2023. Her academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to early childhood education, movement sciences, and health promotion.

Dr. Voss earned her doctorate in pedagogy from the University of Cologne, with additional studies in sports science at the German Sport University Cologne and educational sciences at the University of Cologne. She also completed certified training as a systemic coach through the German Coaching Association (DCV).

Her research focuses on movement and health promotion in early childhood settings, with particular emphasis on gender dimensions in movement education, organizational development in daycare centers, and the integration of digital health approaches (eHealth) in early childhood education. Her work consistently bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in educational settings.

Professor Voss's publication record demonstrates a strong trajectory in movement education and health promotion research, with recent work increasingly addressing digital transformation in early childhood settings, pandemic impacts on children's movement behavior, and reflexivity in educational practice. Her interdisciplinary approach combines insights from sports science, pedagogy, public health, and gender studies.

She leads multiple research initiatives including the eHeKi project (eHealth in daycare centers), the CorBe-KiM study on children's movement during the pandemic, and the long-standing 'Bewegungsraum' (Movement Space) at ASH Berlin. Her projects often involve collaboration with Berlin's Senate Departments and other regional institutions.

Through her leadership roles, Professor Voss has significantly influenced health promotion practices in Berlin's early childhood education system and contributed to the development of quality standards in childhood obesity prevention through projects like QuAK and PräKiT.
