Anja Sitter

Anja Sitter serves as an Artistic Professor and Co-Head of the Bachelor's Program in Digital Ideation at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, within the School of Design, Film and Art and the Department of Design, Film and Art. Since 2017, she has been exclusively employed by the university, and in 2024 she assumed the co-head role for the Digital Ideation bachelor program.

Her educational background is as follows:

• Art Teacher training at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts
• Artistic printmaker training at the Basel School of Art
• MA in Visual Communication and Iconic Research from the Basel School of Design, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland

Professor Sitter's research and teaching are centered around visual communication, digital ideation, printmaking, and illustration. She is particularly interested in artistic methodologies, designerly practices, and visual thinking, with a focus on generating images and ideas and conveying design processes. Her current research project, ITC Artificial Ideation, investigates the integration of artificial intelligence in creative ideation processes.

Professor Sitter leads the research project ITC Artificial Ideation, which forms part of her ongoing work in merging traditional artistic practices with digital innovation. This project likely involves collaboration with students and faculty within the Digital Ideation program.
