Anja Reid is an Adjunct Professor at Murdoch University, affiliated with the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences within the College of Law, Arts and Social Sciences. Previously, she held the position of Senior Lecturer and Unit Coordinator in the same department. Her research focuses on educational wellbeing for international postgraduate students in Western Australia, gender dynamics in Asian societies, and cultural and social ecology in the Asian region.
Educationally, Reid holds a BArts in Anthropology and Fine Arts from Curtin University, a PhD in Anthropology/Art also from Curtin University, and a Graduate Certificate in Research Commercialisation. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Her awards include the Vice-chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Learning & Teaching (2020) and recognition in the Top 10% Murdoch Teaching and Learning (2016). She has also received the Australian Technology Network Scholarship.
Reid’s work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, blending cultural studies with educational policy analysis, particularly in Asia-Pacific contexts. Her past roles and affiliations reflect a commitment to both teaching excellence and research in socially oriented academic disciplines.
