Dr. Anitha Potluri is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She serves as Assistant Dean for Residency Education and Director of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Her roles include course director for four radiology courses and leadership in admissions for the International Advanced Standing Program. Dr. Potluri holds a BDS from HKES College (India, 1996), DMD from the University of Pittsburgh (2010), and MDsc from the University of Connecticut (2004).
Her research focuses on fibro-osseous pathology prevalence in Western Pennsylvania and Cone Beam CT imaging applications. She contributes to peer review for journals like the Journal of Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology and British Dental Journal, and sits on editorial boards. Administrative involvement includes the Faculty Development Committee and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology’s Pre-doctoral Admissions Committee.
Recent publications highlight her work on primordial odontogenic tumors, mandibular lesions, and radiographic techniques. She emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration in diagnosis and treatment planning across dental disciplines.
