Anita Vētra is an Associate Professor at the Department of Rehabilitation, Riga Stradins University. Her expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Health Sciences (3.3), focusing on rehabilitation medicine, cerebral palsy, and post-COVID care. She has served as an expert for the Latvian Council of Science from 2015 to 2018 and 2019 to 2022.
Research Interests: Vētra specializes in Cerebral Palsy rehabilitation, with notable work on motor impairments (spastic diplegia), contextual factors affecting transitional outcomes for youth with cerebral palsy, and digital competencies in rehabilitation. Her research emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, evidenced by projects like the 2022 Development of Clinical Algorithms for Post-COVID Patients and contributions to European PRM guidelines.
Scientific Contributions: Among her 31 publications, recent work focuses on post-COVID rehabilitation, telemedicine applications, and ICF-CY framework adaptation.
