Anita Mallon is a Research Fellow at Queen's University Belfast's School of Nursing and Midwifery. She holds a PhD from Ulster University (2020), where her thesis explored young adults' understanding of palliative care from a public health perspective. Her current research focuses on co-designing digital resources to support resilience among care home nurses and nursing/midwifery students. She contributes to a team developing training resources addressing intimacy and relationship needs of dementia patients.
Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and wellbeing. Recent achievements include the 2024 Queen's Team Teaching Award for collaborative work on resilience resources.
