She earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Springfield College, which underpins her expertise in clinical education and emergency medicine protocols.
Professor Lekarczyk's research and teaching interests focus on physician assistant education methodologies, emergency medicine clinical training, and preceptorship models that bridge classroom theory with high-acuity patient care scenarios. Her work emphasizes practical skill development for future healthcare providers in emergency settings.
As an active clinical preceptor at Cooley Dickinson Hospital's Emergency Department for nine years, she has mentored numerous physician assistant students during their rotations, directly shaping competencies in acute care management and emergency response protocols.
