Dr Anita Bunyan serves as Associate Professor of German within the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with Gonville & Caius College. Her academic position encompasses teaching and research responsibilities in nineteenth and twentieth-century German literary and historical studies.
Her research focuses on German-Jewish cultural intersections, with specific expertise in nineteenth-century German-Jewish authors and historical contexts. Current scholarly work includes a dedicated study of Modern German-Jewish writing, complemented by publications examining the intricate relationship between literature and historical discourse.
