His research focuses on privacy and security in cyber-physical systems, network security, and applied AI/ML. He leads the NSF-funded ScooterLab, a micromobility testbed enhancing pedestrian safety and urban planning. His work includes projects like Background Buster (video call privacy) and Acoustics to the Rescue (physical key inference).
Education:
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Wichita State University
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Wichita State University
- B.Tech. in Computer Science, Vellore Institute of Technology
Research Interests: Prioritizes privacy-preserving technologies, secure IoT systems, and AI-driven cybersecurity solutions. His team develops tools to counteract side-channel attacks and improve urban mobility security.
Recent Trends in Publications: Focus on AI ethics (prompt engineering), decentralized systems (blockchain node analysis), and pervasive computing (wearable-based inference attacks). Highlights include analyzing package hallucinations in LLMs and censorship-resistant DNS protocols.
- Outstanding Faculty Award (OU), 2024
- Best Paper Award (IEEE WristSense 2018)
Grants & Labs: Principal Investigator for the NSF CCRI ScooterLab ($100k) and collaborator on Ethereum node datasets. Leads SecretLab, which explores AI/ML applications in secure systems. Active in outreach through Hacklahoma and IEEE S&P program committees.
Collaboration Platforms: Maintains extensive presence across GitHub, Docker Hub, and academic networks. Co-founded GeoSNO (distributed cloud storage) and co-created CryptoMiner (blockchain educational tool).
