Previously, he held postdoctoral positions at Université de Caen (CNRS) and Université Catholique de Louvain (CORE).
His research focuses on game theory (especially group play dynamics), political economy (analyzing mass political actions and war through game theory), and microeconomic issues in developing countries, including petty corruption and social capital formation. He has also explored labor policy impacts on multinational firms and network-based clientelism in rural India.
