Anikó Zsolnai is a Professor and currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Education and Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). She holds additional roles such as Chair of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Pedagogical Scientific Committee and Head of the Doctoral School of Educational Sciences at ELTE. Her research focuses on social competence, emotional education, and the pedagogical aspects of childhood attachments. She leads the Research Group on Innovation and Equality in Education.
Dr. Zsolnai’s key academic contributions include seven authored books and over 160 papers in Hungarian and English. She has led numerous international projects, such as the EU-funded TELESEICT and SELVET initiatives, and is a member of editorial boards for journals like the International Journal of Emotional Education. Her work emphasizes social-emotional learning, resilience curriculum development, and inclusive education policies.
She has held leadership roles in organizations such as the European Network for Social and Emotional Competence (ENSEC) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Her awards include the title of Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Her advising and grants include directing international collaborations, leading doctoral programs, and overseeing projects like the RESCUR curriculum adaptation with the University of Malta. She actively participates in academic committees at ELTE and national/international research networks.
Her research lab, the Research Group on Innovation and Equality in Education, explores interdisciplinary connections between education and societal challenges, focusing on equity and pedagogical innovation.
