Angira Patel

Dr. Angira Patel serves as Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology) and Medical Education at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, where she is Associate Chair for Faculty Development in the Department of Pediatrics. She directs the Advanced Cardiac Non-Invasive Imaging Fellowship and the McGaw Bioethics Clinical Scholars Program while co-directing Ethics Education initiatives.

Recent publications reveal dual expertise in cardiac imaging outcomes and bioethics, particularly analyzing socioeconomic factors in prenatal diagnosis, pandemic impacts on congenital heart care, and counseling challenges for complex anomalies. Her work consistently integrates clinical cardiology with ethical analysis across 69+ publications.

Through faculty development roles and the Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators, she mentors across UME/GME/CME programs. She maintains active clinical affiliations with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital and Northwestern Medicine hospitals while contributing to the Institute for Public Health and Medicine's Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities.
