Angie Johnson serves as an Associate Professor in the English Department at Bethany Lutheran College and holds the administrative role of Writing Center Coordinator within Academic Affairs. Her office (HH 227) is located on the main level of Honsey Hall at the campus entrance corner of Marsh St and Division St in Mankato, MN.
Her academic focus centers on Contemporary Literature, Fiction, and Creative Writing, with specialized expertise in Literary Magazine production and Screenwriting. Teaching spans foundational writing courses (ENGL 110 College Writing I) to advanced literature seminars (ENGL 204 Modern European Literature), emphasizing cross-media applications through courses like ENGL 312 Reading as Writers Across Media.
As Writing Center Coordinator, she oversees campus-wide writing support services while teaching 11 diverse courses annually including ENGL 230 Introduction to Contemporary Literature, ENGL 302 Advanced English Practicum for the Literary Magazine, and COMM 333 Screenwriting. Her interdisciplinary reach extends to supervising business (BUSN 499) and legal studies (LEGL 499) internships.
