Angie Chau is an Associate Professor in Pacific and Asian Studies at the University of Victoria (on study leave until July 2025). She specializes in modern and contemporary Chinese literature, film, and visual culture, with a focus on transnational contexts, new media, and science fiction. Her research bridges cultural studies, gender analysis, and translation studies, exploring themes such as identity, globalization, and artistic innovation.
