Angelo Leone Lombardo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Histology and Embryology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. His research focuses on gene editing, stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine with applications in immunotherapy and hematologic disorders. He teaches courses in Histology and Molecular Medicine across multiple academic cycles.
Key research areas include CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing, epigenetic silencing strategies, and immune engineering for leukemia treatment. His work spans both basic science and translational applications, with notable contributions to understanding minimal residual disease in B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and improving immune compatibility of pluripotent stem cells.
