Angela Vossenkuhl is a Professor in the College of Education at Eastern Oregon University. Her work focuses on preparing pre-service teachers through coursework and fieldwork supervision, emphasizing community-based education and K-12-university partnerships. She has 15 years of experience promoting educational inclusion through initiatives like Bike First! and has taught in Pre-K to grade 3 classrooms. Educated at Concordia University (Portland) with a BA in Elementary Education, M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction, and ABD in Teacher Leadership from Washington State University, she previously served as a teacher educator and director of undergraduate studies.
Her research highlights the role of field experiences in teacher development and the importance of community engagement. Angela is involved in programs like the Eastern Oregon Teacher Academy and contributes to the College’s resources for mentor teachers and university supervisors. Her interdisciplinary approach combines practical teaching with innovative educational models, as seen in her work on co-located PK-8 and college partnerships.
Angela’s professional contributions extend to advising and guiding students through cultural immersion experiences, such as her work in Germany. She actively supports rural education initiatives and advocates for teacher preparation programs that bridge theory and practice.
