Angela T. Clarke

Angela T. Clarke, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology and Director of Clinical Training for the Clinical PsyD Program at West Chester University. Her research develops community-partnered interventions to prevent mental health disorders among youth in economically disadvantaged communities.

Her work focuses on:

• Adapting evidence-based interventions (e.g., RISE depression prevention program) for after-school settings
• Implementing sustainable prevention models in low-income urban communities
• Examining longitudinal outcomes of school-based mental health programs
• Addressing health disparities through community-engaged research

Dr. Clarke's publications demonstrate expertise in family-school interventions for ADHD, intimate partner violence prevention among adolescents, and engagement strategies for high-risk youth. Her research employs action research methodologies to ensure cultural relevance and community ownership of interventions. Current projects investigate sustainability of prevention effects across multiple domains of adolescent functioning.
