Dr. Angela Snyder serves as a Research Professor in the Department of Public Management and Policy at Georgia State University's Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, with a joint faculty appointment in the School of Public Health. She directs the Georgia Health Policy Center and actively contributes to state-level health initiatives through multiple leadership roles.

Her research integrates qualitative and quantitative methodologies to evaluate public health systems, focusing on health insurance coverage for children (particularly PeachCare for Kids), Medicaid policy, maternal health, and hemoglobin disorder surveillance. She pioneers data integration approaches through the Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health & Wellbeing to track Georgia's behavioral health outcomes.
Dr. Snyder leads federally funded projects including Georgia's Public Health Research and Surveillance for Hemoglobinopathies and provides national policy guidance for the HRSA-funded Maternal Health Learning and Innovation Center. She holds key advisory positions on Georgia’s All Payer Claims Data Release Review Committee, Infant and Early Child Mental Health Taskforce, and Multi Agency Treatment Team for Children Committee.
