Angela Riley is Professor of Law at UCLA, holding the Carole Goldberg Endowed Chair in Native American Law. She serves as Special Advisor to the Chancellor on Native American and Indigenous Affairs and directs the Native Nations Law & Policy Center.
Her research examines indigenous peoples' rights with emphasis on cultural property protection and Native governance systems. Professor Riley's scholarship contributes to advancing legal frameworks for indigenous sovereignty and cultural preservation.
Her recent publications analyze property rights frameworks within indigenous legal traditions, examining how these intersect with contemporary legal systems.
Professor Riley earned her B.A. from the University of Oklahoma (1995) and J.D. from Harvard Law School (1998).
