Angela Pulley Hudson is a Professor in the Department of History at Texas A&M University. She joined the faculty in 2007 and serves as Department Head. Her research explores American Indian history, the 19th-century U.S. South, and intersections of race, colonialism, and cultural representation.

Her work spans historical intersections of Empires & Colonialism, Gender & Sexuality, War & Society, and Religion & Politics. She has authored two influential books, including Real Native Genius (UNC Press, 2015) and Creek Paths and Federal Roads (UNC Press, 2010), while examining western Native American roles in the Jim Crow South.
Dr. Hudson has received prestigious fellowships from institutions like the Newberry Library, American Philosophical Society, and Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Her leadership as Department Head underscores her institutional impact.
