Angela Lee-Smith, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of the Korean Language Program in Yale University's Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures. She has been a dedicated faculty member since 2003, specializing in Korean language pedagogy and curriculum development for heritage and foreign language learners, with significant contributions to national language education initiatives.

Dr. Lee-Smith's research integrates multiliteracies, project-based learning, and standards-based curriculum design to advance Korean language education. Her work emphasizes interculturality and interdisciplinary content integration, particularly through the Heritage Track she established at Yale for accelerated Korean language learners. She pioneers open educational resources (OER) development and proficiency-based assessment methodologies.
