Angela Jiménez Casas

Angela Jiménez Casas is a Professor at the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ICAI) of the Comillas Pontifical University, where she has served since 1985. She is also a Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, currently on voluntary leave since 1998.

Her research focuses on Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations, Infinite Dimensional Dynamical Systems, and Thermosiphon Modeling. Key contributions include:

• Asymptotic behavior of phase field models with boundary concentration
• Dynamical systems arising from viscoelastic thermosiphon models
• Boundary feedback as singular limits of nonlinear PDEs
• Chaotic behavior in thermosiphon and binary fluid systems
• Traffic flow modeling using nonlinear dynamics

Recent publications highlight trends in viscoelastic fluid dynamics, multi-phase field models, and nonlinear stability analysis. She has received positive evaluations for four Research Six-Year Periods (1995-2023) and ACAP accreditation (2005).
