Angela Hayles is a Senior Technical Officer and Design Fellow at the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy (APEP) at University College Dublin. Her role involves supporting students in digital drawing, presentation techniques, and professional practice, while also specializing in model making and digital fabrication technologies like laser cutting and 3D printing.

Angela's research interests focus on digital drawing and the application of Artificial Intelligence in creative disciplines. Her recent work explores AI-driven image generation in landscape architecture, reflecting her commitment to integrating emerging technologies into design pedagogy. She contributes to modules across all four years of UCD's Landscape Architecture program, including Digital Landscape Design I/II and advanced Research by Design Studio modules.
As a juror for student presentations at UCD, Angela engages with projects like the CityEdge 'Win/Win' design and 'Tailwind for Ireland' themes. She previously contributed to the Athena SWAN committee, supporting gender equality in UCD's College of Engineering, which achieved a Bronze Award in 2019.
