Dr Angela Gialamas is a Lecturer in the School of Public Health at the University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She specializes in child development and early life influences, focusing on how child care quality, socioeconomic factors, and parenting impact children's cognitive and socio-emotional outcomes. Her research utilizes datasets such as the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC) and the Better Evidence Better Outcomes Linked Data (BEBOLD) platform.
Her PhD investigated the association between early childhood care and school readiness, while her post-doctoral work explores disparities in early childhood development. She is a member of the BetterStart Child Health and Development Research Group, contributing to interdisciplinary projects on child health interventions.
Dr Gialamas is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students in public health and child development research. Her location is Rundle Mall Plaza, North Terrace, Adelaide.
