Angela Frederick Blahnik

Angela Frederick Blahnik is a Lecturer in the Dance Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts, with additional teaching roles in the Zilber College of Public Health. She teaches courses including Body Sense, Ballroom, Latin Dance, Resilience in College and Beyond, and Yoga. She earned a BFA in Dance from UW-Milwaukee, graduating with Dean's Honor List recognition and membership in the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Her research and teaching focus encompasses movement disciplines such as:

• Somatics and body awareness practices
• Pilates and yoga instruction
• Technical dance training
• Social dance forms (Ballroom/Latin)

Professional highlights include performances with Milwaukee groups (Danceworks, Florentine Opera, Wild Space Dance Co.) and Chicago companies (Kinetic Dance Theatre, Innervation Dance Cooperative), alongside choreography for festivals including Dance Chicago.
