Angel Tengulov is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Kansas School of Business. His research focuses on empirical corporate finance, banking and financial intermediation, limits to arbitrage, empirical asset pricing, short-selling, derivatives, and capital markets. Prior to joining KU, he held academic positions at Vanderbilt University and the University of St. Gallen.

His publications appear in top journals like the Journal of Financial Economics.
Key awards include the 2022 Guy O. and Rosa Lee Mabry Best Paper Award, a 2015 Best Paper Award from the Swiss Society for Financial Market Research, and multiple travel grants from finance associations. He has presented his work at major conferences including AEA, EFA, WFA, and FMA USA.
