Angel Egido is a Full Professor and researcher at the Université catholique de l’Ouest (UCO) in Angers, affiliated with the EA 4638 LPPL laboratory and the 2S2T research team. She holds a HDR (Accreditation to Supervise Research) from the University of Pau (2006) and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1993). Her research focuses on risk perception, stress, professional relationships, and care professions. Recent work includes studies on university student transitions, digital pedagogy, and disaster behavior modeling. She co-leads the UCO 'SEVE' project on student vulnerability and meaning in studies, funded by the UCO HR Chair.
Her research has explored risk perception in public transport, workplace stress among caregivers, and career aspirations of youth. Notable projects include ANR-funded studies on disaster behavior modeling (2008-2012) and an international transport safety initiative (ERA-NET 2009-2011). She has organized interdisciplinary conferences on topics like student vulnerability, Montessori pedagogy in remote learning, and care professions' ethical challenges.
Key contributions include analyzing transitions in career paths, the impact of silence among healthcare workers, and the role of recognition in job satisfaction. Her work bridges psychology with practical applications in education, healthcare, and policy, emphasizing vulnerable populations and workplace well-being.
