Angel Aragon Torre

Angel Aragon Torre is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Burgos, actively contributing to the GITE research group focused on Structural Concrete Technology.

His academic credentials include:

• PhD in Engineering from the University of Burgos (2007) with thesis: "Investigación de los mecanismos de transferencia de tensiones rasantes en juntas de piezas compuestas entre hormigones 'in situ' y prefabricados de alta resistencia" (Investigation of shear stress transfer mechanisms in composite joints between in-situ and prefabricated high-strength concrete), supervised by Dr. José Antonio Martínez Martínez.

His research expertise spans Structural Engineering, Concrete Technology, Mechanics of Materials, and Civil Engineering, with specialized focus on the Mechanics of Continuous Media and Theory of Structures. His work critically examines structural concrete behavior, particularly shear stress transfer in composite systems combining in-situ and prefabricated elements.

As a core member of the GITE research group, he advances innovations in structural concrete technology through experimental and theoretical investigations within the University of Burgos' PhD program in Industrial, Computer, and Civil Engineering and Technologies.
