Anette Larsson

Anette Larsson is a Professor in pharmaceutical technology at Chalmers University of Technology, leading the Pharmaceutical Technology Group. She holds a PhD and MSc in physical chemistry and chemical engineering from Chalmers. Previously, she worked at AstraZeneca R&D Molndal, gaining industrial experience. Her research focuses on biomaterials, drug delivery systems, and polymer science.

She is Cluster Leader in the Vinn Excellence Centre SuMo Biomaterials and part of its management team. Current projects explore lignin compatibility, drug release mechanisms, and sustainable materials like bio-based polymers. She collaborates widely, including with Prof. Sven Engström.

Her work bridges academia and industry, emphasizing controlled release systems, biodegradable composites, and structural analysis of polymers. Her group includes five PhD students and an associate professor.

Publications highlight advancements in polymer blends, material characterization, and drug delivery technologies. Key themes include lignin processing, thermal properties of biomaterials, and nanocomposite design.
