Andy Kilmister is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Oxford Brookes Business School, Oxford Brookes University. He holds a B.Sc. in Philosophy and Economics from Bristol University, an M.Phil in Economics from Oxford University, and an M.A. in Modern European Philosophy from Middlesex University. His teaching focuses on Level 6 undergraduate modules, including Macroeconomics 2, Economic Growth, and dissertation supervision.
Research Interests: Dr. Kilmister specializes in economic methodology, philosophy of economics, and history of economic thought, with a particular emphasis on Central and Eastern Europe. His work integrates critical political economy perspectives and ecological critiques, as evidenced by his book Critical and Post-Critical Political Economy (2006) co-authored with G. Browning.
Professional Contributions: He served as Editor of the Journal of Contemporary Central and Eastern Europe (Taylor & Francis) since 2007, organizing major conferences like the 2014 'Crisis and Resistance in Central and Eastern Europe' in Warsaw. His conference presentations include discussions on ecological critiques of political economy and post-Fordism theories.
