Andrés Erosa

Andrés Erosa is a Full Professor of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid since 2012, previously holding tenured positions at the University of Toronto (Associate Professor, 2006) and roles at the University of Western Ontario (1996-2000) and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2001-2002). He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota in 1996.

His research focuses on Macroeconomics, including labor supply, economic growth, and public finance. Key contributions include studies on occupational choice, gender wage gaps, and firm lifecycle taxation. His work appears in top journals like the Journal of Political Economy and Review of Economic Studies.

Recent research (2022-2025) emphasizes labor market polarization, financial frictions, and tax policies' impact on firms and households. He has advised numerous Ph.D. students placed in elite institutions like the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Toronto.
