András Patay-Horváth serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Ancient History within the Institute of Historical Studies at the Faculty of Humanities, Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest.
Holding the prestigious Doctor of Science (DSc) degree, his scholarly work centers on Ancient History with emphasis on Classical Mediterranean civilizations. Research spans historical epigraphy, socio-political structures of Greek city-states, and Roman provincial administration.
