Andrzej Dziembowski is a Professor and head of the Laboratory of RNA Biology at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) since 2019. He is also an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biology, Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, University of Warsaw, with 25% employment since 2011. His research focuses on RNA biology, protein complexes, mouse genetics, transcriptomics, and RNA decay.

His scientific contributions include multiple Jan Karol Parnas Awards for outstanding biochemical publications, a European Research Council Starting Grant (2012), and the Foundation for Polish Science Award (2018). He has supervised 12 postdoctoral fellows, 15 PhD students, and 17 undergraduate students between 2006 and 2021. He is a member of the RNA Society (since 2004), European Molecular Biology Organization (elected 2019), and Polish Academy of Sciences (elected 2019).
